There is a local commuter bus (LOOP bus) that travels between the Poughkeepsie Train Station and Hyde Park. It leaves Poughkeepsie to Hyde Park, Monday through Friday: 5:46 pm, 6:28 pm, 6:43 pm, 7:10 pm, 7:35 pm, 8:03 pm, and 8:31 pm. The fare is $1 per person. After the second to last dropoff point: E. Additionally, there also many local cab services in the area. (The average fare, as of Mar. 15, 2008, for 2 from the Po'k train station to the inn is $15.) Please contact the inn's front office or call (845) 229-2443 if you need assistance with your transportation needs.
Driving Here
From NYC: Follow signs from the Henry Hudson Parkway to the Sawmill River Pkwy to the Taconic State Pkwy, always going north. Exit at 55 west or 44 west (Poughkeepsie) and proceed through the City of Poughkeepsie. Before the bridge, take Route 9 north (Hyde Park). The Roosevelt Inn is at the north-end of the village of Hyde Park (about 6 miles from the FDR/Mid-Hudson Bridge). Address: 4360 Albany Post Road (Route 9).
-Or- Take I-87 north (NYS Thruway) to Exit 18 at New Paltz to Route 299 east to Rte. 9W south to cross the FDR/ Mid-Hudson Bridge. Take Route 9 north immediately after the bridge.
From Albany: Take the Taconic State Parkway south to Route 199 west to Route 9 south. The Roosevelt Inn is at the north-end of the village of Hyde Park. Address: 4360 Albany Post Road (Route 9).
-Or- Take I-87 south (NYS Thruway) to Exit 19 and cross the Kingston/ Rhinecliff Bridge to Route 9G, right/south, and then take Route 9 south through the Village of Rhinebeck. (The Roosevelt Inn is 10 miles south of Rhinebeck on Route 9.)
From Pennsylvania: Take I-84 east to Route 9 north.
